What I am Thankful For This Year

This year I have a lot to be thankful for...

First and foremost, my family. Jenny, Brian, Jon, Stephanie, Mom and Dad, Micki(Chloe) and Sydney. I am blessed to have such a supportive crew, loving, layed back and accepting of all. My family is resiliant. We accept each other for who we are although we may not always agree, there is always respect and love at the core of everything. I know I can always lean on them.

Next would be my gymnasts, this includes my co workers and friends, Mary Lee Tracy, Enrique Trabinino, Amy Wert and Mandi Hinson specifically. Mandi has been a great person in my life and I am so thankful we are going through this journey of coaching together. In the past few months I would say I am most thankful that Mandi has come into my life for many reasons, number one being we accept each other for who we are and are there for each other. It is unusual to fall upon and "instant friend" like this in life, I am just thankful our paths crossed.

My gymnasts are: Acacia, Adrian, Alexis B, Alexis S, Marianna, Marissa, Madison, Mackenzie, Chelsea, Kayla, Anna, Khadijah, Kara, Allie, Regan, Sam, Faith, Bianca and Mary. These girls have brought a lot into my life. They challenge me, they make me laugh and they inspire me everyday. I thank them for they have brought more to my life than anyone of them will ever know. Each one is different, special and unique in their own way and I am so lucky to love my job and spend my days with them. I see so much of myself in these girls. I am thankful for their hard work, sacrifice and perserverance.

I am thankful for and miss Michael Jackson. He has touched my life in ways that may be comical to others but true for me. Thanks Mike I miss you!

I am thankful for my best friend Mateen. Mattyjaan. He has never failed me, no matter how far away he may be. I am blessed and thankful and very lucky to have such an understanding person in my life. A true gem. I am thankful that he has opened my eyes to another culture and another way of looking at life. He challenges me and makes me grow as a person. I am inspired by him. He makes me a better woman. I am thankful I met him.

Last but not least, I am thankful for my health, my luck, my body and my mind. I am so blessed to be a fit woman who lives life passionately. It is because of the people around me that I stay motivated and healthy. I am so thankful. Happy Thanksgiving,,I hope everyone has a list like this.

CGA Forward Progress

Just got back from a great weekend at Forward Progress Camp. I feel that the girls DID make a lot of progress...some of them threw some new skills and perfected some old ones. I was VERY happy, specifically with how well the girls led in the conditioning (where I was the clinician). The girls shined in the conditioning relay challenges and I was very proud of them. I am so looking forward to a great season. GO CGA!

HALLOWEEN AT CGA

So I was officially welcomed into the world of Cincinnati Gymnastics Annual Halloween practice with a HILARIOUS suprise. One of my athletes, Kara, dressed up like me!! She had fake muscles, fake calves, bathing suit, heels and even a trophy. Kara even did the FOUR mandatory Poses! It was hilarious! The level 8 girls also came dressed as the Jackson FIVE! These girls are so creative and so funny. I love my job. Betsy
